We are excited to welcome Dr. Anthony R. Gordon to the team at 26 Foot and Ankle! Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, Dr. Gordon brings more than 20 years of podiatric experience in both private practice and skilled nursing facilities.
He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Gordon went on to complete his residency at Hines VA Medical Center and Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, where he developed advanced training in podiatric medicine and surgery.
In addition to his medical career, Dr. Gordon proudly served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant before his honorable discharge. His time in service instilled in him the values of discipline, leadership, and teamwork—qualities he carries into his patient care every day.
From 2000 to 2018, Dr. Gordon served as clinical faculty at the Emory University School of Medicine and as Chief of Podiatry at the Grady Memorial Hospital Diabetes Center in Atlanta. In these roles, he not only treated patients but also trained and mentored future physicians, coordinated medical teams, and led initiatives in diabetic foot care.
Dr. Gordon is board-certified and a Fellow of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. His areas of expertise include forefoot reconstructive surgery, diabetic foot care, and comprehensive podiatric medicine. Known for his patient-first approach, calm demeanor, and strong leadership skills, he is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to every patient he serves.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Gordon enjoys playing golf, watching sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
