He founded a non-profit organization, The Moldova Outreach Foundation where he spent a year overseas educating practitioners, residents, and students about foot and ankle health, surgical technique and preventative medicine for the diabetic and pediatric populations.

Dr. Colasurdo is an avid runner and is actively involved in his local running community. He serves as the Medical Director for the Classic City Marathon Association and the AthHalf Association.
In his spare time Dr. Colasurdo enjoys traveling with his wife, Carla. Their favorite place to travel is Tegernsee, Germany.
