Dr. Joseph N. Colasurdo Is a resident of Watkinsvllle Georgia. He has pursued education in various institutions, including a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and a Master of Business Administration from New York University. Dr. Colasurdo completed his surgical specialty training in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery in New York City. Dr. Colasurdo holds numerous certifications and licensures, including being a fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association and the American College of Podiatric Medicine, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He has receive multiple honors and awards for his dedication to professional education and research; most recently as an invited lecturer at an international conference focusing on diabetic foot care management.

While Dr. Colasurdo is a trained surgeon, he does take a more conservative approach to foot and ankle health. He works with each patient to achieve their specific treatment goals and routinely utilizes surgery as as a resort after all others treatments have been exhausted.

Dr. Colasurdo is actively involved in professional organization and committees and has contributed to community service initiatives. He founded a non profit organization, The Moldova Outreach Foundation. He spent a year overseas educating practitioners, residents, and students about foot and ankle health, surgical technique and preventative medicine for the diabetic population.

In his spare time Dr. Colasurdo enjoys traveling with his wife, Carla. Their favorite place to travel is Tegernsee, Germany. In addition to traveling, Dr. Colasurdo does extend his expertise in foot health to other to improve their experience with the hobby. He has helped others improve their gameplay by recommending footwear and has worked with post Injury climbers.
